Chantaramas Beach Resort Koh Phangan - Baan Khai

Not exactly what I expected

Spacious, airy rooms with a lovely pool overlooking the beach. The staff was super great.

The restaurant was located a bit far from the main attractions, making dining options limited and inconvenient.

Honestly nothing too much trouble. Clean place in Thai style with all necessary facilities. The attentive staff all round. Local and tasty food. Lovely central location, just next door to thongsala or haad rin, bar / restaurant area and Ko Phangan❤

Well laid out unit with the bathrobes and a very nice bathtub. Breakfast for vegans...

The beach view was lovely, but the sewage smell really ruined the vibe.

Reception takes ages to answer your call, very few of the staff actually understand English, relatively far from Haad Rin (15 min drive), no 24 hr room service, AC takes too long to cool the room, mosquitoes, mini bar is actually empty.

Really nice experience there. Everything was cool, clean hotel, stunning and lovely location to the airport over 30 minutes away. Nice breakfast with lots of good food. Extremely helpful staff, free wake up service and ironing available. Location next to town centre, the beach, and sites around the island. Good customer care, parking inside the property. Free Wi-Fi available.

Hotel needs better maintenance!!! Dark, cramped rooms with poor lighting!!! No dedicated beach access and limited seating around the pool!!! Ugly and overgrown grounds, giving a tired atmosphere!!!

Very noisy air conditioner

I had a deluxe double room and it was modern with the jacuzzi

the sewage smell near the beach was unpleasant. however, the staff was friendly and always offered fresh fruit treats. the couples massage in the spa was relaxing, and the room had a nice view of the pool.

The hotel is very clean and the staff is really friendly. The pool is nice.

The location is far away from anything. It's not possible to walk anywhere, so if you want to do anything outside from the hotel, you must take a taxi. The problem is, that the taxi drivers cheat you extremly with your money. They know that there's no way by feet, so they charge you extremly high prices for the taxi (around 200 Baht each person, which is around 6 Euros for a 10 minutes ride...in the rest of Thailand, you could drive half an hour or longer for the same price). And of course, you'll have to pay it twice, since you want to go back to the hotel at the evening... If you only want to stay at the hotels place or if you don't care about money, it's a nice hotel. Otherwise don't go there! It's just to fare away from anything.

Had a blast with my friends! The pool was huge, and we loved sunbathing by the beach. The staff were super friendly and always ready to help. Great location for checking out the Half Moon and Jungle Parties nearby. Definitely recommend renting a scooter for easy travel.

We had a bit of an inconvenience when we found that the restaurant's a-la-carte menu was pricier than expected.
